Novi Fire Department Responds to Residential Structure Fire
On January 10th, 2012, at approximately 8:13PM, the Novi Fire Department responded to multiple 9-1-1 calls regarding a structure fire on Wintergreen, south of Ten Mile Road, east of Beck Road. Fire Department personnel arrived on the scene in just over five minutes to find a two-story, single-family home engulfed in flames.
Preliminary information received on the scene indicated an older, disabled male may be inside. Fire crews entered 24414 Wintergreen and were able to remove a male in his early 50’s. He was subsequently transported to the U of M Burn Center in Ann Arbor. All other family members are accounted for. A Novi Firefighter is being treated at Providence Park Hospital for heat exhaustion. His injuries are non-life-threatening.
